Read more >HAS offers a rigorous academic curriculum. Typically, a one-semester course is 2~4 credits, and all students are expected to complete 30 to 32 credits per semester. Students complete most of the Korean national core curriculum during their first year. Students take electives and additional courses from their second year. Electives include Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Honor courses, and research-driven courses.

- Selected HAS students spend two weeks at Kaiyo Academy, Waseda University High School and Ohyu Gakuen Girs’ High School in Japan, taking classes and engaging in cultural exchange activities. Students from those Japanese high schools also come to HAS and spend two weeks learning Korean language and culture.
- HAS students are invited annually by the The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China to participate in their youth symposium.
Read more >Every summer, HAS hosts an International Symposium for high school students from around the world. Symposium participants present research, engage in discussion, enjoy cultural exchange, and discover Seoul with their international peers.
In 2010, students from HAS, Japan, and China presented on the theme, “Cooperation among Asian Countries to Address Climate Change.” From 2011 on, the Symposium added diversity by inviting not only Chinese and Japanese students but also students from Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
2019 marked the 10th International Symposium hosted by HAS with the topic “The Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence.”
