Curriculum

HAS offers a rigorous academic curriculum. Typically, a one-semester course is 2~4 credits, and all students are expected to complete 30 to 32 credits per semester. Students complete most of the Korean national core curriculum during their first year. Students take electives and additional courses from their second year. Electives include Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Honor courses, and research-driven courses.

AP COURSES & HONOR COURSES

AP courses offered at HAS include: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Calculus, Macro & Micro Economics, and World History. Elective advanced courses include: Honors Biology*, Honors Physics*, Honors Chemistry*, Honors Mathematics*, Cell Biology, Advanced Calculus, etc. (*Honors courses at Hana Academy Seoul are more rigorous and demanding than AP courses.)

CREDITS & GRADUATION

A minimum of 180 credits is required to receive the HAS diploma. The minimum distribution of credits to graduate must include the following: Korean (10), Math (10), Social Studies (10), Science ( 12), English (10), Korean History (6), Foreign Language (6) and Sports and Arts (18).
