Every summer, HAS hosts an International Symposium for high school students from around the world. Symposium participants present research, engage in discussion, enjoy cultural exchange, and discover Seoul with their international peers. In 2010, students from HAS, Japan, and China presented on the theme, “Cooperation among Asian Countries to Address Climate Change.” From 2011, the Symposium added diversity by inviting not only Chinese and Japanese students but also students from Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. 2019 marked the 10th International Symposium hosted by HAS with the topic “The Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence.”
